Potato Drying Wall Plenum Fan Box

Potato Drying Wall Plenum Fan Box Potato Drying Wall Plenum Fan Box Potato Drying Wall Plenum Fan Box

A useful product manufactured by Farm Electronics is the moveable plenum drying box.

This unit allows forced drying/warming of a small batch of boxed product. The unit pictured serves 2 boxes wide x 5 boxes high and up to 7 boxes out. (70 Boxes)

The 2.7kw 3 phase axial fan produces 9000cfm of air giving a positive ventilation rate of 128cfm per ton.

Using the side mounted control panel the operator can either run the fan continuously or program a number of hours blowing after which time the fan will stop.

Inbuilt forklift pockets allow very easy movement of the Plenum Box which is constructed in two halves which simply locate together. The fan cable can be unplugged from the control panel to allow the upper box to be moved separately.

Sturdily constructed from 40mm Box Section with 20mm Plywood infill panels the box is designed to survive the rigours of day to day usage.

Potato Drying Wall Plenum Fan Box Double Sided

A useful product manufactured by Farm Electronics is the moveable plenum drying box.

This DOUBLE SIDED unit allows forced drying/warming of a small batch of boxed product. The Double Sided unit pictured serves 2 boxes wide x 6 boxes high and up to 10 boxes out. (120/240 Boxes)

The 4.4kw 3 phase Frequency Inverter Controlled axial fan produces up to 20,500cfm of air giving a positive ventilation rate of up to 170cfm per ton. As the amount of air delivered can be adjusted on the Frequency Inverter the plenum can be "fine tuned” to the airflow requirements of any boxed produce to be dried.

Using the side mounted control panel the operator can either run the fan continuously or program a number of hours blowing after which time the fan will stop.

The internal outlet flaps are hinged internally and can therefore be Open / Closed in any combination for the quantity of boxes to be dried. One complete side can be closed off  if needed.

This Drying Plenum is made in three sections and can service 6 High (1090mm) Boxes on One Side or 6 High (1060mm) Boxes on the other side. Blanking plates can be swapped from one side to the other as required.

3 Section Plenum showing the open ventilation slots. The powerful

4.8kw Axial fan can be powered from a standard 16amp 3 Phase socket

by use of a Soft Starter in the fan control panel. All Plenum Drying Box

panels feature an "Auto Timed Run Timer” allowing to operator to "Dial In”

a drying fan run time (0-12hrs) after which the fan will automatically stop.

This 3 Section design can also be used to ventilate only 4 Boxes High by leaving out

The centre section. This will increase to airflow rate by 33% for higher rate drying if

required.
