It is with great sadness that Farm Electronics announces that former Managing Director Bill Leslie has died.
Bill purchased the controlling shareholding of the company then known as Chandler Farm Electronics & Installations from its founder Nick Chandler in 1982, under his guidance Farm Electronics became a well-respected manufacture of Crop Storage Equipment, with customers throughout the world.
Bill had a deep understanding of both agriculture and engineering, which ensured, the equipment produced at Farm Electronics, has always been well matched to the requirements of the customer, this coupled with his sound business acumen quickly established Farm Electronics as a major force in the field of potato and onion storage.
Bill retired in 2008 passing the baton on to the existing management team, and working from the firm foundations that Bill laid the company has continued to thrive.
Bill who was 75 had been battling Parkinson’s disease for some years, he is survived by his wife Jenny daughter Kate and son Ben.
