A useful product manufactured by Farm Electronics is the moveable plenum drying box.
This unit allows forced drying/warming of a small batch of boxed product. The unit pictured serves 2 boxes wide x 6 boxes high and up to 9 boxes out. (108 Boxes)
The 2.7kw 3 phase axial fan produces 12500 cfm of air giving a positive ventilation rate of 115cfm per ton.
Using the side-mounted control panel, the operator can either run the fan continuously or program a number of hours blowing after which time the fan will stop.
Inbuilt forklift pockets allow very easy movement of the Plenum Box which is constructed in two or three parts (depending on stacking height) which simply locate together. The fan cable can be unplugged from the control panel to allow the upper box to be moved separately.
Multiple plenums can be stacked together also.
Sturdily constructed from 40mm Box Section & 20mm Plywood infill panels along with recessed restrictor plates configured to suitdifferent box heights, the box is designed to survive the rigours of day to day usage.

The 4.4kw 3 phase Frequency Inverter Controlled axial fan produces up to 20,500cfm of air giving a positive ventilation rate of up to 170cfm per ton. As the amount of air delivered can be adjusted on the Frequency Inverter the plenum can be “fine-tuned” to the airflow requirements of any boxed produce to be dried.

The internal outlet flaps are hinged internally and can therefore be Open / Closed in any combination for the number of boxes to be dried. One complete side can be closed off if needed.
